"For a Poet" is one of the more pop-oriented tunes I've penned, both stylistically & thematically. Written in January 2013, It speaks to the tension faced by someone who realizes that the one they love might not be a great fit for them—but instead of resolving that tension within the song, it leaves listeners to guess what could/should happen.
